
DR. BACON'S CHOCOLATE CHIP AND BACON COOKIES
Procedure: Dr. Bacon's Best Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies
Makes 24 Cookies
Necessary Supplies and Instruments
- Six strips of thick-cut bacon
- Dr. Bacon O.G. Spice Rub
- 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar (firmly packed)
- 2 large egg yolks
- ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Cookie sheet
- Parchment paper
Official Procedure
Pre-heat oven to 375°F.
Cover cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Lay strips of thick cut bacon on parchment paper.
Apply liberal coating of Dr. Bacon O.G. Spice Rub to bacon.
Cook at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool. Keep oven at 375°F while prepping cookie dough.
Combine softened butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla in bowl.
Beat at medium speed until thoroughly mixed.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Beat at low speed until mixed thoroughly.
Chop bacon into ½” pieces.
Stir in bacon and milk chocolate chips.
Scoop out dough into rounded tablespoonfuls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2” apart.
Bake at 375°F for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow to cool and transfer to cooling rack or if you cannot resist, like me, enjoy direct from the cookie sheet.
