
HOW TO COOK DR. BACON BOURBON GLAZED SALMON
Procedure: DR. BACON BOURBON GLAZED SALMON

Necessary Supplies and Instruments
- DR. BACON O.G.
- 8-12oz Salmon (4-6oz portions)
- ¼ cup or 2oz Bourbon (Buffalo Trace or Maker's Mark)
- 1/2 stick of Salted Butter
- ¼ cup Brown sugar
- ¼ cup Chopped Pecans (optional)
- Heat Source- grill, smoker, oven, campfire…
- Butcher paper or foil covered sheet pan
- Saucepan for making bourbon glaze
- Spoon
Set pellet smoker, grill, oven to 300°
Generously season all sides of salmon with DR. BACON O.G.
Place salmon skin side down on the on butcher paper or foil covered sheet pan.
Complete sauce before placing salmon on grill.
Combine ¼ stick of butter, brown sugar and bourbon in a saucepan. (Add chopped pecans as desired.)
Simmer in saucepan until liquid starts to thicken to the viscosity of a glaze then turn down heat to keep warm.
Place salmon on grill for 15 minutes.
Spoon bourbon glaze over salmon as desired.
Allow glaze to caramelize for next 15-20 minutes until salmon is visually ready or reaches internal temp of 145°.
Remove from heat source and plate.
